I got a call from this Brisbane landline number (07) 3198 2066 (an Optus number). This is a PayPal scam! I was asked to authenticate or decline an $800+ purchase of 2 gift cards (Apple I think it was), but I knew better than to press any links or make a selection by pressing 0-9 on the phone dial.

The caller hung up immediately when I answered and said "Hello." It was very odd behavior.

Scammers. Had a guy call saying he was from my National Broadband Network network saying that there is unauthorised access and they are calling to let us know and fix the issue. I called him a scammer but he denied it. I asked him who are my internet providers and he said Telstra which is wrong and I hung up on him. I call back from a different number and straight away my phone listed it as a fraud/scammer number.
