A woman with an Australian accent falsely claimed she was calling because I had entered a survey (which I did not) and that I owned a home (also untrue). Although I didn't catch all the details, it sounded like some sort of financial scam aimed at helping with mortgage or retirement funds.
I got exactly same call today. Sounded suss so told them I wasn’t interested.
Also received a call similar to other reviewers - the person claims to be from a lifestyle surveying company. They took ages to connect after I answered (first red flag) and as others have said, apparently I have also entered a competition claiming I was a homeowner (absolutely not true especially in this market lol), with opportunity to win $100k or have $100k off your mortgage. Rubbish, I told them it was a scam and hung up.
