As the phone was ringing, a message popped up “Warning: Suspicious Calling Pattern”
The caller claimed to be from Visa and Mastercard's security service, stating there was an attempt to make an international transaction on my debit card at 4:00 AM. I identified this as a scam immediately because my bank always alerts me to any unusual activities. I have blocked this number.
While the phone rang, I received a message indicating, "Warning: Suspicious Calling Pattern." This indicates a need for caution.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra, stating that my IP address had switched from private to public, along with other confusing information. I told him I wasn't interested in being scammed and hung up, but I could still hear him muttering "shut up, shut up" as I ended the call. Definitely not a legitimate Telstra call.
The caller claimed to be from PayPal and asked for my approval on a $1200 transaction, which I find suspicious as I do not have an account with them. When I questioned if she was trying to scam me, she abruptly hung up.
