Thanks to those on this site to report his number and name. Luckily my interlude lasted only a few messages and then when he contacted me on what's app I searched his name and number.
Blocked him on what's app - but before I could report him on tinder he deleted his profile.
He will not FaceTime you, he will say his camera isn’t working and it’s hard as his on base and shouldn’t even have a phone. He scammed my money by getting me to first transfer it to a bank account in N.S.W saying it was a friends account and then it went to bitcoin. He is the biggest scammer out and as I have said below I wasted 7 months, over $16.000 and I still see him popping up on tinder and every time I do I report him.
How so - did you send money?? Did he ask?
Just reading the stories now - did anyone call him out and what was his reaction... Be interested to know.

Well ladies, “Daniel” is still active and all the things below are exactly the script he used on me.. Lucky my conversation only lasted a couple hours... I was suspicious from the start... Firstly he looked about 10 years younger than 40 and had no greys in his beard.. I questioned if he was Australian or American RAAF because all the photos he looks American, plus my dad was ex RAAF, when I mentioned training in Wagga Wagga he did not answer my question. He said “you are so pretty “ which is not a common thing to say to a 40 year old woman.. I also looked at the photos and they are all in focus foreground and background which is an indicator they are photoshopped. The photo he sent of him in the aircraft hanger I questioned if it was staged.. YES... There was no one else in the shot and in full background focus..
He is very clever, he has obviously researched Melbourne and Sydney suburbs... He nominated a Melbourne suburb he lived in, but when he said he had lived in Sydney, he did not say where, I mentioned I lived in Sydney also but he did not ask where, which is unusual...

Ladies he is a Scammer..
I was able to report and block on both Tinder and WhatsApp... Beware they are getting clever at engaging conversations...I’ve heard this happen to guys with woman scammers, but “Daniel” is the first guy I have come across... I’m sure there are more out there... STAY AWARE and away from this guy.

We had already switched from Tinder to WhatsApp..
I did look at the number but didn't Google straight away, as it seemed legit & not from overseas.
Same story as below about the girlfriend cheating & 2yr old child. Said he was posted in Iraq (Ramadi) but coming home in a few weeks & talking about retirement, wanting to travel, mentioned his inheritance from his parents, had a full retirement plan mapped out.. Very believable story. Some tiny mistakes in grammar but nothing that couldn't be explained by autocorrect or a missed letter here & there..
I did notice the strange times of day he was messaging, which didn't seem to gel with the time of day in Iraq & I have also dated a guy in Special Forces years ago & he wasn't allowed to have a phone on base, but thought maybe the rules had changed..
It wasn't until last night, when he responded to a few messages I had sent that the warning signs went off.. It was like I was talking to a different person. Not like a 40yr old aussie career RAAF pilot. Saying things like "I hope you have had a calm day"?? WTF.. I ended up googling the number & came across this page...
Report, Block & Delete FAKE DANIEL immediately!!!
Yep. Same. I just blocked him after 4 days of texting. "Daniel" says he lost his parents, his wife cheated on him and won't allow access to his 2 year old child. He said he wants to retire and come back to Sydney and buy a home soon. He told me he is Half Aussie, Half Italian and has a bit of an accent. He also asked me several times if I am a citizen.
I was suspicious because he constantly asked me for pictures - ALL THE TIME. And when he sent his they seemed very staged. I actually made him call me and that's when I knew it was a fraud. The accent WAS ALL WRONG. It is not an European/Italian accent. It was an accent from someone with an African background. I do not want to sound racist. But I lived in Nigeria when I was younger and I have visited friends in Uganda and Kenya and I am familiar with some of the accents there. This is definitely someone with an African background. And obviously not the same person whose pictures he uses on his profiles. Our acquaintance was so short that he did not bring up money but I absolutely do not doubt it when other people say it happened. STAY AWAY FROM FAKE DANIEL!

Scam. Daniel the pilot posted to Iraq whose wife cheated on him. I was a little suspicious because his written English was a bit broken which is highly unusual for someone claiming to be a career RAAF pilot, but thought maybe I’m being too harsh. Then his messages were arriving at times of the day that were 3am Baghdad time where he claimed to be posted for work, another red flag, but maybe he is shift working. Then he sent me his phone number so I googled it and found this page. I called him out and he blocked me, but not before I reported him to the site we were using. What a poor sad existence he must have. Anyway thanks to everyone on here for posting, it’s really helpful to others.

I was also suspicious when the photo he sent in the uniform has a small german flag on the side shoulder! He had not asked me for any money yet but I'm sure we'll get to that.
A guy named ‘Daniel’ pretending to have lost both his parents and has inherited properties in Australia and overseas, also says he is in Iraq working as a pilot. Says he is going to retire and get into mining. He asked me to send money for him. I called him out and he blocked me. SCAMMER.
