I had a very strange call from from an elderly Indian woman with poor English. She said...
"I know who you are. I know what you want. If you are looking for free internet I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of plans. Plans I have acquired over a very long career. Plans that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you join up now for 24 months, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will CALL you.".
Weird.
This is a DODO business mobile number probably wanting to annoy the crap out of you.
Once National Broadband Network was available in my area this number started ringing me 2-4 times a day. I looked it up online and found on this site it was allegedly DoDo which makes sense as this is who my internet service was currently with. However I was NOT staying with DoDo for National Broadband Network so have not answered the call, they have been ringing daily for 5 weeks now. I do not have voicemail, they have not sent me an SMS or an email. If they do not stop calling in the next 1-2 weeks I'll answer a call and tell them to make like the DoDo :-).
I received a ridiculous call on this number from a poor-mannered Filipino woman, seemingly unable to cognise very simple English, asking me to verify my name & date of birth. After interrogation on my part, she claimed to be from Dodo, offering to help me connect to the National Broadband Network yet she was unable to tell me what sort of physical connection I would have. I know that we're getting National Broadband Network through the Foxtel pay-tv cables. When I asked her what sort of connection I would receive she didn't understand & when I rattles off the options, starting with "is it fibre...." she interrupted me & said "yes fibre": WRONG. When I mentioned that was wrong, she actually became ANGRY with me?????!! So I hung up. Not beleivable, I'm afraid. Even if the call was from Dodo, who would do business with a company with such poorly trained, unporfessionla & ignorant staff?
I've had several over the last few days, they are now on the auto-reject list!
Had many calls from this number and when they got hold of me they claimed to be from Dodo. They had all my details and wanted to change my plan over and to do so they only required the FIRST 12 digits on my credit card (clearly having access to the last 4).
Seemed wrong to me so didn't give my details...
They called claiming to be from Dodo - a day later (not credit card details given) - a transaction appeared on my visa.
Have reported to Dodo AND my card place - seems lke a dodgy inside Dodo Employee job!
