What Our Users Reviewed
I missed the call from this number and did not answer after previously receiving a call from 0485 972 819.
The caller identified themselves as security for Visa/Mastercard and claimed I had unauthorized overseas transactions. They wanted to transfer me and requested personal details. I refused to provide any information, which led them to hang up. It's worth noting that Visa and Mastercard are separate companies and wouldn't typically communicate this way. Genuine representatives from these companies do not ask for personal details, instead, they would cancel your card and issue a new one if necessary.
Received a call from this number saying someone had attempted to withdraw $1000+ from my account.
Scam caller claiming to be from PayPal. Claims that your phone has been hacked and whether you want to reject payment from your account. Claiming your ip address is been used by account in USA. Very rude and aggressive caller. Attempts to help you go online to change your phone settings. Highly suspicious.
I initially declined the call, but decided to call the number back. An automated message informed me that I was contacted as part of a marketing campaign, but did not mention any company name or brand. It also allowed me to leave a message to request being removed from their call list.
