I’m on the job hunt process and had 3 missed calls from this number, so thought it may be a job prospect.
Called me just now (5:25 PM on a Friday). When I was about to answer, the call cut off.
I called back and the guy with a difficult to work out accent claimed to be from Star Finance and was “calling back regarding refinancing my mortgage”
I said I have never asked for a call back from anyone related to Star Finance.
He argued that I did, and I pointed out that I actually own my home outright.
He had the audacity to then ask me if I was wanting to sell me home and he could assist me with financing needs.
Told him that (again) I was not interested.
He continued to go on to ask if I needed financial assistance for anything else.
By this stage I was bored, hung up and blocked number.
Called himself Star finance.
Made the mistake of answering this call.
This bloke straight up lied, saying we had a natter about a home loan six months back. I called him back after a missed call, and he was all over the place, totally unprofessional. Classic scammer behavior!
These blokes are ringing up pretending to be "Star Finance," trying to sell some interest rate reduction on my mortgage. Just annoying!
