I received calls from this number as well as two others, 0486 969 956 and 0483 969 960. I've decided to block all three numbers due to concerns over their legitimacy.
I received and answer a phone call from this number but no one has said anything.
The Wine Concierge Club, aka Oak Road Estate, aka Top Drop, owned by The Wine Group Pty Ltd are paying either people or for bots - I couldn’t quite tell if ‘Matt’ was AI generated or not the chat was so disjointed, to try and flog wine with 80% off. When asked where they got my number they said, “oh you will have signed up somewhere”.
Disgraceful. The group have already paid upwards of $200k in telemarketing breaches.
I received multiple calls from this number, but each time, the last three digits changed. They also did not leave any message.
SPAM. Unknown number. Does not leave a message.
Had a call from similar number yesterday and 3 days ago. The numbers used differ with the last digit when they call.
I call on all Australians to speak to their local member and tell them that the Australian Communication laws do not protect us from phishing attempts. Why is it that I have to show photo ID before I get a mobile phone number making me legally responsible for everything that is initiated using my mobile number, but some dickhead, sitting in an overseas call centre can just use an endless number of mobile numbers trying to commit a crime. The telcos and internet providers that allow these people to use these bogus numbers on the Australian network need to be hung out to dry. This shit needs to stop!
