I answered a call from this number with a greeting, but there was only silence on the other end for about six seconds before they hung up.

Said from National Broadband Network.
I received a call from this number around lunch time on Thursday 28 Sept 2023. A robotic sounding female voice (supposedly) from my Banks visa/credit card department, alerted me to an unusual transaction of $1000+ (AUD) on my credit card and asked me if I was aware of the transaction that was made, and if not, it was possibly fraudulent. IF I felt it was the latter, I was to press 1, which screamed SCAM, and I immediately hung up.
The caller took too long to respond after I answered, so I mentioned that I had already dealt with three scammers earlier that day. I advised her to hang up if she was another scammer, and then she hung up.
