The caller, who had an Indian accent, claimed to be calling from the National Broadband Network (NBN). When I pointed out that the NBN does not contact the public directly, they abruptly hung up the call.

I received a voicemails alerting me about a supposed payment made via Visa for a gift card. The message instructed me to press a key to connect if I didn't make the transaction, which is clearly a scare tactic designed to initiate contact for a scam.
This phone number pretends to be from PayPal, addressing me as "respected customer." The message claims there is a $999 payment due and tries to convince me to either report it as a scam (which I suspect it is) or authorize the payment. Since I do not use PayPal, I recognized it as a scam and did not follow their instructions to report it. I've blocked the number.
