  • Donation Pressure: Reported testimonials reflect an aggressive approach, with callers suggesting that local authorities are aware of contributions or even implying guilt for non-participation.

This is the website associated with their offer:

From a marketing point of view, "pissing into the wind" is the term that I use for these types of publications.

Had a guy from street smart handbook call me giving me the big speach on how if I was to advertise it would help the kids of my area. Only $330 for a business card sized add in their annual journal.

He goes on to tell me to text him that I agree my interest and someone from the artwork department will call me to go through artwork.

Never hear from anyone in any art department. Receive a bill in mail, a few weeks later I get the booklet posted to me. Seems they took it upon themselves to make up my add for me, it is useless only has my name and address. No details of what my business actually is.

I received a call from 0481616248 asking me if I was the boss of our family business, when I told him that I only looked after the workshop and that my father ran everything in the office, the phone call dropped out or what I thought dropped out. I sent him a text, but got no response, googled this number and saw that this guy is a scammer.

I just received a call from this number. Dylan from the Australian Federal Police Association wanted to ask my business for a donation at a later point in time. It was to go toward helping school children who have been affected by drugs.

All he asked of me was that I reply to an email that he sent saying that I will agree to donate money in March 2016 when this plan goes into action and that in the meantime I will receive a copy of last years Street Smart Handbook to look over.

I would receive advertisements in their new handbook pending on which level of donation I chose.

Gold $1500 - Full Page Spread.

Silver $770 - 2x business card size ads.

Bronze $440 - 1x Business card size ad.

I replied to him saying I agree to help the children out, under the proviso of deciding on a donation at a later date.

He received this email whilst I was still on the phone to him. He thanked me very much for my time and for caring about the kids.

Then he hung up.

So far he has gained nothing and he seemed really happy with it.

I don't know if this is a scam or not.

Also received a call from 0481 616248 today asking for donation of '$350 every 4 months' to the Federal Police. When I declined I was told that the local police would know whether we donated, also that we would get a certificate for the donation. Looks like they are ramping up the emotional blackmail. Be aware.

Yes, just had a call from 'Darren' on this number. Sorry but don't trust it. He asked if I was the boss, when I said no, he said "even better"....dodgy.

Recieved a call from this number from a man claiming to be Darren for the Australian Federal Police Assosciation.

He jumped straight to how they needed support from local businesses for an upcoming event that helped keep our officers on field safe.

It is a total scam so please do not buy into it. The federal police would not call and ask for money.

Ended up finishing the conversation and reporting this fraud to policelink.
