Understanding the Threat Behind 0432 620 305

The phone number 0432 620 305 has been associated with a series of reports identifying it as a scam linked to a fraudulent scheme. Users have shared their experiences online, detailing how they were solicited for deposits under the guise of service provision, only to have their money vanish without trace.

Identifying the Scam

Users have described interactions with a person named Jack Thieu Thien Pham, who allegedly requests upfront payments—often through services like PayID—promising delivery of various goods from platforms like Gumtree. Once the deposit is paid, victims report that the scammer fails to deliver the promised service or product and subsequently blocks them from any further contact. This modus operandi has been echoed in several reviews, establishing a pattern of deceit.

Specifics of the Scheme

  • Requesting Deposits: The caller often asks for a small deposit, stating it’s for fuel or to cover initial costs. Users have reported requests ranging from $10 to $20.
  • No Delivery: After the payment is made, the promised service, often delivery of goods or materials, never materialises.
  • Pursuing Victims: Some reviews indicate that the scammer continues to reach out, seeking further financial assistance even after the initial scam has been perpetrated.
  • Identity Misrepresentation: The scammer has referred to himself with different names—including "Jeff"—aiming to create an air of credibility.

How to Protect Yourself

If you receive a call or message from 0432 620 305, here are several steps you can take to safeguard yourself:

  • Don't Send Money: Never send money for deposits on unsolicited service requests, particularly via PayID or similar platforms.
  • Research: Always conduct a Reverse Phone Lookup Australia if you feel suspicious about a caller. A quick search can reveal important information about the number.
  • Report the Scam: If you suspect you've been targeted, report the incident to the ACCC or your local authorities. Sharing your experience may help others avoid falling into the trap.
  • Trust Your Instincts: If something feels off about a call, it's wise to err on the side of caution.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while the Australian market has its fair share of legitimate offers, a number like 0432 620 305 showcases the concerning rise of scams targeting unsuspecting individuals. Always remain vigilant, especially when dealing with requests for upfront payments. For peace of mind, utilise platforms that facilitate safe transactions and verify unknown numbers before engaging in any financial correspondence.

This bloke (0432620305) replied to an ad for tree mulch. He said he could drop a load to me but then needed $20 upfront for fuel. I nearly fell for it, but luckily searched his number and found these bad reviews. I then messaged the bloke saying Ill give him $50 when he gets here instead of transferring $20 now. Never heard from him again. Tosser.

Phone number PayID links to a man named Jack Thieu Thien Pham. Have paid deposit of money via PayID for item to be delivered on Gumtree, item never received and he has blocked my number from contacting him again.

Further to my original post above, said scammer has made contact with me again to “attempt” to amend his wrong doing by explaining he has a bad gambling addiction and steals people’s money via Gumtree and wanted ads. Told me he would return the money doubled if I didn’t contact the authorities (too late for that, as I had already done so)

This person has only managed to scam $20 off me as stated above, and I have reported to the ACCC, Tasmania police & Gumtree themselves with all information he had provided me in regards to his ongoing scam to fund his own addictions.

DO NOT PAY THIS MAN ANY MONEY WHATSOEVER!
