User Reports: A Closer Look
An analysis of user feedback reveals a concerning trend. Many individuals have reported receiving messages from this number that appear to reference services they do not use or have never requested. Notably, one user commented on receiving texts about a car appointment, despite not owning a vehicle, indicating that these communications may be automated spam attempts.
Categories and Classification
- Spam Communications: Reports frequently indicate disruptive texts related to automotive services which users do not own, serving little purpose other than annoyance.
- Potential Scams: Multiple users have flagged suspicious texts containing prompts to open attachments or respond affirmatively without any clear identification from the sender. For example, messages advertising sales or claiming to offer discounts from well-known establishments appear unsolicited and dubious.
- Legitimate Communication Confusion: There are contrasting complaints where users received texts from practices they had used, such as veterinary and health services, albeit with inaccurate details. This inconsistency raises concerns about how their contact information is being managed and shared among these businesses.

What Our Users Reviewed
I have received messages from this number from both a local veterinary practice (which I had attended with my pet previously) advising of change of ownership of the practice which I know did happen, all in all a congenial message with correct details of the name of the previous owner and inviting me back to the practice. And I've also received a message about a radiology appointment, which I did book with a local (human) medical imaging practice, but with an incorrect appointment time, asking me to confirm my appointment. Both messages have appeared in the same SMS thread on my iPhone. Both businesses are active and legitimate, I am a customer of both, but there should be no reason that they share a mobile number that others also receive unsolicited spam from. It's baffling.
The caller claimed to be from Wayville Mitsubishi and stated that my vehicle may be due for a service. They provided the correct contact number for the company and had my personal details, including my name, vehicle type, and registration information. However, I did not purchase my car from them. I have also reported two other mobile numbers for similar issues.
I received a spam message claiming to be from Australian Piano Warehouse, advertising a sale. This seems like an unsolicited and misleading message.
I received a scam text promoting a sale from @AusSkinClinics, claiming 50% off laser treatments and 15% off skincare products. The text included a link (https:xxxxx) and a phone number (1300 303 014) with terms and conditions that invited me to unsubscribe by texting "STOP." This looks like a marketing scam.
Received an sms saying I have an appointment to see an optometrist? 1) It got the name wrong 2) When I don't have vision problems or wear glasses 3) Made no appointment = Scama now blocked by the spam a wham button.
I got a call where the caller asked if I was satisfied with my service and requested that I reply with 'Y' for yes or 'N' for no. However, they did not identify themselves or provide any information about their company, which feels suspicious.
I believe this number belongs to a scammer. It's best not to answer calls from this number.
I keep getting texts from this number. Its suggests I have an attachment I need open. I don't and delete it. Too many virus going about like this to risk it. Scam suspected- comes from overseas also.
I don't own a car and keep getting texts from this number. Its suggests I have an attachment I need open. I don't and delete it. Too many virus going about like this to risk it.
Constant texts reminding me that my car is booked in for repairs/service. I do not own this car any more. No harm done, just annoying.
