Received a text from this number earlier today saying that my Telstra bill hasn’t been paid (I don’t do the payments myself but I know it’s been done). Also a bit of context - my phone number was originally my father’s, so usually people call me thinking my dad still uses this number. But this text included my MOTHER’s name, which clearly doesn’t make sense. I’d say it’s a scam.
I got a text message that HAD MY NAME on it. HOW??

I got this SMS today.. I contacted telstra via 24x7 App (independent of SMS); Telstra REP said it wasn't from them and I should ignore... NO help at all. I had to write WHY did I get this/WHO IS it from before he even suggested it was a SMS scam.. So the scammers are trying to Scam me and the Telstra Rep didn't give a rATS...

Yes same thing got a text saying that need to call them urgently regarding my account. Also got a call and voice text giving me a number to call back.
