Received message from this number, supposedly a bank I am not a customer of.
"The account is locked, log in to the account for verification. [link].
Got the same text as others however this time it was from westpac. I don't have an account there and even if I did I wouldn't be falling for that. Reporting number to the authorities.
Texted me saying they are bendigo bank. Told me to login to the website they provided to verify my account even though I am not a bendigo bank customer.
Received the following SMS from this number:
"The account is locked, log in to the account for verification. [link].
Got a text from this number today telling me to login to my bank.
Yes I received a message. No idea how they got my number. Saying "Your account got locked. Log in to verify it. [link] if I'm going to log into account with this message. Not very professional. Soo dodgy!
I received the text below:
Commbank: Your account was locked and requires additional verification. [link] assuming this is a scam and I prompt you not to visit the link they have provided. I highly doubt commonwealth bank would send such a text instead of directly contacting the customer from a call centre or sending them mail.
