I am sorry scammers are using my phone number. I am also getting scam calls from numbers and when I phone them back the owner of the number is unaware. Telcos such as Telstra, Optus and Yodaphone should certainly be able to prevent this from happening, it cannot be that difficult. If governments would fine Telcos for every offence, I am sure this problem would be solved extremely quickly. Once again, I am sorry is SOMEONE is using my phone number to scam people, but it is not in my control, blame the Telcos.....
I got a call from this number which had an automated voice advising my Amazon account is due & payment will be taken from my bank account. I don't have an Amazon account. Obviously a scam using some innocent company's phone number.
I was contacted by this number, and an automated voice message informed me that there was an issue with my Amazon account requiring payment from my bank account. The problem is, I do not have an Amazon account. It is clear that this call is a scam.
This number called and didn't leave a message. I called back from different phone and the owner said he hadn’t called anyone.
