After calling back, I heard a recorded message stating that this number is not in service. It is frustrating that telecom companies do not take stronger action to shut down these types of scam numbers, which misuse legitimate numbers to harass individuals.
I spoke with someone claiming to be promoting a new casino opening in Melbourne. They stated they could offer me $100 in credit and $500 in chips if I clicked on a link they would send via SMS. I strongly advise against clicking that link, as it is a complete scam.
I received a call from someone with an American accent offering a new casino deal in Australia. When I tried calling back without showing my number, I was told the number was not in service. However, when I called back with my number visible, they answered immediately!
