The caller claimed to be from the “Visa and Mastercard Department.” They had previously called and surprisingly knew my name while trying to discuss fraudulent activity on a Mastercard which I do not possess. When I mentioned I didn’t own a Mastercard, they awkwardly switched to asking about Visa. This sounds like a scam, as legitimate companies typically do not contact you directly in this manner. I told them I would call my bank instead, and they became aggressive before hanging up. I have since blocked the number.
