The caller claimed that my bank account had been compromised and instructed me to log into their website for verification. I was skeptical and didn't follow their instructions but I ended up wasting a few minutes trying to determine if the call was genuine.

A male caller contacted me this morning, claiming to be from Westpac and discussing an unknown transaction on my account. When I pressed him for more details about where he was calling from, he hesitated and appeared unsure, indicating that he might not be legitimate.
I strongly believe this is a scam! It's alarming how these scammers manage to continue their operations, and I'm concerned that a vulnerable person might soon become a victim.
