Have you received a call from 03 9622 2353? This number has been reported as a scam linked to a telemarketing scheme. Learn how to handle calls from this number and protect yourself from potential scams.

In the realm of phone calls, the number 03 9622 2353 has quickly garnered a negative reputation among users in Australia. Reports indicate a troubling trend, where individuals have experienced either missed calls or frustrating interactions leading to nothing but disconnection. Based on a series of alarming reviews and user interactions, we can classify this number as a scam, specifically linked to deceptive telemarketing schemes.

Several users have highlighted their experiences consistently. One recurring theme is the message stating, “Your call could not be connected,” whenever they attempted to return the call. This message raises a red flag as it amplifies suspicions surrounding the legitimacy of the number.

More concerning are the claims linking this number to a potent telemarketing scam. Reviewers have noted that the calls often initiate with an automated message or low-quality connection, leading into aggressive pitches about various government schemes. These schemes typically promise unattainable benefits, designed to mislead unsuspecting recipients into sharing valuable personal information. Users report that taking any affirmative action, such as speaking, prompts a 'sales droid' to begin its pitch, most likely fueled by Indian call centres masquerading as local agents. This nature of the calls aligns perfectly with what many consider to be a phishing attempt disguised as legitimate marketing.

In light of these reports, if you receive a call from 03 9622 2353, it's best to proceed with caution. Here are some helpful tips on how to handle such situations:

  • Do Not Engage: Avoid answering the call, or if you do, do not provide any personal details.
  • Don’t Return Calls: Refraining from returning calls to suspicious numbers can help prevent further disturbances.
  • Block the Number: Most smartphones have a blocking feature. Use this option to avoid future calls from the number.
  • Report to Authorities: If you suspect a scam, consider reporting the number to your local consumer protection agency.

In conclusion, 03 9622 2353 is clearly not a number you want to engage with. With reviews indicating a coordinated scam effort, protecting yourself from these intrusions is essential. I answer these without making any sound. Wastes their call. The bot hangs up. If you talk, there is a blip, a sales droid launches into some Victorian Government incentive scheme that will cost me nothing. These are Indian call centres collecting leads for local businesses authorised to deliver those schemes.
