Somebody sms’ed my elderly mother with this number saying she was being hacked. She called them back all flustered and they 1st tried the eBay approach (she doesn’t use eBay), they then wanted her to install apps on her phone and obtain their “help”. Thankfully she got off the phone and called me. A nasty group indeed!

Missed a call, got a voice to text message: "...$99.99 and the same amount will be debited from your account automatically. If you want to cancel this press 1. Would you claim for refunding." Missed who it was from, but called the number back and, without ringing, it went straight to hold music with an Indian accent saying 'your call is very important to us'.

Recoded message saying it’s eBay and they have an authorisation for $299 fit order need confirmation of details.

I don’t use eBay so they are most definitely scamming and when you recall the number it does not exist.
