When I asked the caller for their operating ABN and website information, they became defensive and rude. I remained calm, but their attitude made it clear that they were likely operating outside of Australia. Eventually, they hung up on me.
The person on the other end claimed to want to speak about the new rates, when I advised them that the bill wasn't in my name but in my partners. He asked for my partners number and I said I wouldn't give it to them without his permission, the operator was very rude and accused me of being "overly protective of my partner". Not sure if this is a legit call but I hung up on them once their tone changed.
This number continually calls me to discuss changing electric prices, which I find very annoying and unwanted.
I advise against picking up calls from this number as they are a scam. They do not have an official website and are asking for my energy account details, which is completely unacceptable.
