After receiving a call from this number, I decided to call it back. It turns out that the number belongs to the Rural Fire Service, which is currently running a raffle campaign.

It rang time after time 7 times full ring times each time, like some desperate insanity attempt.

A nuisance caller, a beep then silence, reminded me of someone attempting to use a fax to our main work number.
I answered the call, just got a beep then silence.
This is a harassment number and I believe they are trying to find numbers to use never answer them and if it is a real number you will get a message asking you to contact them. Most people I know do not answer them at all.
I just got a single beep, then nothing. I suspect they are fishing for live numbers (as others have suggested).
I got (sound like) robot voice asking questions. Before could voice was finished the 1st question, I hanged up.

The number calling is 0291373153, it's a company called Hot Frog a marketing listing company based in Australia. They prank call numbers to see if they are still active. There's no way of contacting Hot Frog as they don't list phone numbers. Their Facebook page lists a fake phone number. Report the number as a prank caller with ACMA.
