Was on Facebook and clicked on sidebar about baby elephant. Next thing I get this page and voiceover warning me that my computer is infected with a virus and computer will lock unless I immediately ring the phone number. I have had these encounters before and just clicked the X to remove the page with no problems. If you ring them they will demand money to unlock your computer [which should not be locked] Ignore it or ring them up and tell them to F*k OFF. I will tomorrow.

Yes, I too was caught via a Facebook advertisement or feature on my side-bar (yesterday). Thanks to your site and another computer I saw that all I had to do was shut down my laptop and exit the browser window before the popup came back next time. Not sure how to report such a thing - it's not on my Facebook side bar anymore. Hopefully there's nothing on my machine that will evade my security software, though obviously something did for it to hang my machine.

Thanks,

Warwick.
