Got a message in Chinese from this number, definitely felt like a scammer. What a dodgy move!
This was a scam robotic call originating from New South Wales, and the caller hung up without leaving a message.
I received a robocall claiming to be from a company called Axle Digital. The recorded message asked me to press 1 or 2 to opt out of future calls. I deleted the message and blocked the number.
This number appears to be a scammer attempting to verify if my phone number is active. I didn’t answer the call because I don’t recognize anyone from New South Wales.
These guys try to get through to my phone every day, from different numbers but they usually start with similar prefixes / area code. I no longer pick up the calls or speak to them but I used to, they're definitely scammers, reading the same old dumb scripts pretending to be from a telco, National Broadband Network, or Amazon, PayPal, ATO, Google, Microsoft etc etc... Definitely lying. If you're on the Do Not Call Register and get a call like this then you know it's fake because legit Australian businesses respect the DNC register.
This page says 160 people checked this number today with ReverseAU so it's obviously being used for bulk calls with a spoofed number.
This guy doesn't care less what time he calls. His calling from overseas asking me about my current phone line. He keeps hanging up when I ask him what time it is here. He keeps calling from different numbers.
This number 0285528514 disconnected within seconds of me answering. My greetings went unanswered after what sounded like international call delays in any noise coming through from the caller's end.
It was automatically labelled as 'spam' by my service provider but looked legitimate and so still came through.
