I received a call around 7 PM on a Saturday night. I chose not to answer, and they did not leave a message, indicating that the call was not urgent or important.
I received a call from this number, which showed Sydney, New South Wales, as its location, and I have blocked it. It felt suspicious.
The caller asked for the homeowner using my last name and was offering a rebate. I informed them that I am not the owner of the property, which is what I always say in such situations. It felt like a standard cold call. I was amusingly hoping it was a lottery call!
They knew my name and address and asked about solar. Which isn’t even in my name.
The call ended abruptly when I answered it. Given the suspicious nature of this call, I have decided not to contact them again and will be blocking the number.
I called the number back and he was asking for the home owner. Then went on to talk about a 4K dollar rebate for solar but still had know idea about the different states in Australia.
