They left two messages on my answering machine. The person sounded Indian. The message said that it was the Australian Tax Department and that the call was in relation to a lawsuit involving tax evasion and fraud and advised to call this number.
Total scammers, advised I owed tax of $7K and wanted me to repay it via a seven step process. When I advised I would check their id they swore profusely and hung up. I advised ATO and they confirmed it was fake.
Scammers, do not answer this number.
