I received a call informing me that a transaction of $1,600.00 was about to be processed on my Visa/MasterCard account. Concerned, I immediately hung up and called my bank to report the incident. Additionally, just the day before, I received another call from someone claiming to be from Telstra, saying they were going to upgrade our service to optical cable. I contacted Telstra to verify this information as well.
I answered, but there was complete silence on the line. This may be a scam trying to collect voice recognition data, so I will be cautious.
