The caller claimed to be from DHL, stating that they had attempted multiple times to deliver a package to me. However, it was suspicious that they only referenced English and Chinese languages, raising red flags about their authenticity.
Got a call from this number 02/10/24, came up like a Sydney number, but looked a bit suspicious, there was a delay, then an Indian lady said hello I am calling from Telstra about an issue with your IP address, I could hear other people talking in background, so knew it was from a call center. I said to the Lady, I'm glad you have rung, because I work for a government organisation in regard to fraudulent phone scams and your number has now been recorded for follow up. The call then went silent and hung up, be careful people.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra and stated there was an issue with my computer's IP address. When I mentioned that I worked for a government department dealing with fraudulent phone scams, their response stopped, and the line went silent. This seems to be a scam, so please be cautious!
