I responded to an advertisement for a Mustang boat, but the seller gave me a similar story to the other scam reports - stating the boat is in storage in WA and in perfect condition, while claiming to be in dire financial straits due to Covid and having recently moved to Thailand. Interestingly, they mistakenly referred to a Haines boat instead; keeping track of so many scams must be difficult!

Biggest motorhome scammer of all time I believe they are working out of Africa and transferring money though CBA using fake ID, s.

Please don't deal with this person in anyway what so ever... There are no motorhome s boats etc at all so beware.

Jason Davidson advertised Winnebago Motorhome cheap price in Brisbane Courier Mail using a North Qld phone number. I left a message and he sent me a text asking for email and sent me all the details. He is working with TLC Transport Sydney. The vehicle was in Port Headland. He gave me the VIN number for REVS check which actually checked out and also sent copy of his passport and drivers licence, so probably into doing fake id's as well. The company asked for a payment of 50% deposit so $16.850 and instruction to pay as a wire to wire by the bank. The bank wouldn't do this so they gave me a bank cheque which didn't match the details with the business name. I questioned him and said it sounded like a scam and his reply via email was people scam people, not companies so that is the cover he works under. Interestingly I phoned the company to ask more questions and requested a photo of the vin number and photos of the vehicle in their site and got the same reply of people scam people not companies, so immediately knew this was wrong. The van was not available to take photos of as it was already being shipped to us (supposedly). I phoned Port Headland police and they have never heard of TLC Transport and told me that someone was scammed yesterday for the same amount. He is certainly not a nice man, but his cohorts are also in the plan. The TLC Transport website is very professional, but the shop front of their address 12 York Street, Sydney has a Pieface sign so thinking it is not a shipping company. They also have an ABN which shows up with all their advertised details on the website search. He is very clever so beware. He is also very pushy. Hope if you are reading this you didn't get caught.

I also saw and ad for a Bobcat loader in the newspaper. I believe it would be the same scam as mentioned, there was no answer when called, then a reply text message asking for email etc.
