    We get several calls from this and other numbers including in Victoria, fortunately we have a Telstra Call Guardian phone, we can block any numbers we don't want calling us including private calls (as some charities etc are) and overseas numbers, they all go straight to the answering machine the phone doesn't even ring hence we are no longer being disturbed by these nuisance people. All our friends are in the allowed list so we know when the phone does ring it is someone we actually want to talk to. I don't normally advocate companies but this phone has saved us a lot of grief by no longer getting any scam calls or persistant nuisance charities or those annoying survey people which half of those are probably just scammers anyway.

    I have had 15 calls from this number over the last 10 days. Sometimes I get 2-3 calls a day. I usually let it go through to the fax. I have tried calling the number, but there is nothing - no ringing or engaged signal. Today when I answered it, it hung up immediately.

    Soooo tired of pesky phone pests. Yes, I agree, it is harassment.

    I have been getting calls every few days. If answered it hangs up. If not it rings until the answer machine clicks in.

    They are very annoying, calling two or three times per week. Are they a registered charity?

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
