    07 3170 6648 is a scam. I don't answer any calls unless I know the number. If it's important they will leave a message.

    F***wit scammers again, pretending to be a charity, number not in service.

    These persistent pests are a f****n disgrace and their illegal scams should not be tolerated.

    Someone in authority needs to bring these dishonest people through the criminal courts to justice.

    Our law makers need to start protecting innocent people from these mongrels.

    Merry Christmas.

    Said his name was Mark Xaviers, claimed to be from Telstra saying my internet connection had been compromised. When question about the matter, was I trying to scam him because I was asking him who he was and working for. These people are a nuisance & Telstra should put a spot to it immediately.

    Scammers using this number as it is not in service, somehow they are dialing through this number for other means as they don't answer. When is Telstra going to do something about this problem.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
